That country becomes the 42nd nation to commit to peaceful and transparent space exploration.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) welcomed Slovakia as the 42nd nation to sign the Artemis Accords last week, holding a ceremony with Slovakia’s Minister of Education Tomáš Drucker at the agency’s headquarters. The accords reinforce and expand on the international Outer Space Treaty, with signees committing to transparency, interoperability, and a shared responsibility to offer emergency assistance to partner nations carrying out their own space missions.
“The United States and Slovakia share a deep understanding of the power of exploration,” NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said at the ceremony. “Through this new chapter in our nations’ partnership, we will further this global coalition to explore the cosmos openly, responsibly, in peace.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Administrator Nelson to be led by the Lord as he continues to promote the Artemis Accords.
- For U.S. space officials to be prudent as they collaborate on the international Outer Space Treaty.
